Description
The FIBARO Intercom is a video intercom with 180°, HD view with night-vision. Greet visitors to your property and grant them access with a personal touch. Not home? No problem – the device can take a message for you and store it on an SD card or call you directly.
The device is a great addition to any gate or doorway. Modern design aesthetics, a high quality finish and robust materials contribute to the highly polished device designed with safety in mind. The FIBARO Intercom can handle access control on up to two entrances, entry can be gained via PIN code, smartphone app, bluetooth proximity or biometric voice recognition.

What does it mean that the device has IP54 protection class?
IP Code categorises the level of protection of a product against water and dust (according to IEC/EN 60529 standard). The First digit refers to solid particle protection and 5 means the device is protected from dust, but is nit ‘dust tight’. The Second digit refers to liquid ingress protection and 4 means the device is protected from splashes of water, but not water jets.
Do I need a Home Center or any other gateway to use the Intercom?
No – This is not a requirement.
Is the intercom compatible with Z-Wave?
No – The streaming of video data is not allowed on the z-Wave protocol.
Is the intercom compatible with HomeKit?
No – HomeKit is not supported.
Which app should I use to control the intercom?
There is a FIBARO intercom app for both iOS and Android.
Can I integrate my device with the FIBARO system?
Yes – you can use a plugin. This would allow you to view the camera footage, record it, and open and control connected gates. The intercom can also be integrated into smart home scenes.
Can I have multiple intercoms in one home?
Yes you can.
Does the intercom use SIP protocol?
Yes.
What are the viewing angles of the intercom?
180° vertically and 120° horizontally. The app may show different angles based on the orientation of the screen.
Does the device use dewarping?
Yes however it can be disabled. Dewarping is the correction of perspective distortions that are cause by the shape of the camera lens.
Does the device use HDR?
Yes, however it can be disabled. HDR is an image with higher dynamic range. It allows for brighter shades and darker highlights to emulate human perception.
Why does the Intercom app require Bluetooth to be enabled?
The app utilises proximity detection through Bluetooth in order to open the gate, however this can be disabled in the settings.
Do I have to use the installation box included with the device?
Yes – this is a vital component of the device.
Why can i not see Intercom notification on my Apple watch?
When your iPhone is unlocked, the notifications will be pushed to the screen of the phone rather than your apple Watch.
Why is the Intercom app not ringing?
If your iPhone is muted then the intercom app doesn’t ring – the same as other iOS applications.
