Description

The Shelly 1L Gen3 is small enough to fit directly behind standard wall switches and works with a wide range of lighting types, including LED, CFL, incandescent, halogen, and luminescent fixtures. Once installed behind the switch, it allows these lights to be controlled easily and wirelessly.

Like the rest of Shelly’s retrofit relay lineup, the 1L Gen3 requires no special wiring and does not need a hub to operate. It connects using the existing WiFi network and, as part of the Gen3 series, also supports Bluetooth and the Matter protocol, making it simple to integrate into a broader Matter-based system with products from various manufacturers. Unlike other Shelly relays such as the Shelly 1PM Mini, the 1L Gen3 is designed specifically for lighting circuits that have only a live wire and can be installed in no-neutral configurations.

Along with app-based remote control and configuration through its embedded web interface, the 1L Gen3 can be combined with other Shelly devices to create scenes and schedules. This can include automatically adjusting brightness based on the time of day or reacting to data from sensors such as the Door and Window Sensor.
