No—the entire strip can only display one colour at a time, although you still have access to 16 million+ options and colour scenes to create transitions.

What smart home hardware is required to unlock full features?

A

To use Matter over Thread and connect to smart home ecosystems, you’ll need:

  • A Matter-compatible smart home hub

  • A Thread border router (some hubs combine both roles)

  • Device OS requirements:

    • iOS / tvOS 16.5+ for Apple Home

    • Android 8.1+ for Google Home / SmartThings; iOS also supported for SmartThings

You can still control it over Bluetooth with the Nanoleaf app, but without Matter/Thread benefits.
