Description
The Shelly Flood Gen4 expands far beyond the single‑point detection of earlier models like the original Shelly Flood. Its flexible moisture‑sensing cable can be laid out across large areas or fitted into tight, awkward spaces such as behind appliances, inside cupboards, or along walls. Multiple cables can be linked together via a simple 3.5 mm jack, extending coverage up to 150 m, ideal for monitoring entire rooms, long corridors, server cabinets and more. When moisture is detected, the device immediately triggers its built‑in buzzer and sends an instant alert to the Shelly app. The sensor is powered by a battery pack containing four AA batteries, protected by an IPX4‑rated enclosure.
To suit different environments, the Flood Gen4 offers three moisture‑detection profiles: a standard mode for everyday monitoring, a heightened‑sensitivity mode for safeguarding critical or highly moisture‑sensitive areas, and a battery‑saving mode that disables the buzzer, perfect for holiday homes or infrequently used spaces.
As part of the Gen4 lineup, the Shelly Flood Gen4 supports Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and Matter right out of the box. It can maintain all of these connections simultaneously, allowing seamless integration with both the broader Shelly ecosystem and existing Zigbee or Matter‑based smart‑home setups.
